Medical Claims Electronic Data Transfer

Our Web-based system provides online medical claims electronic data transfer (MCEDT) solutions. You have to log in to browse different menu items. Once logged in, all you need is to choose any of the options under Create/Submit, File Operations, or View Files menu items.

Create/Submit

There are options to create, upload and submit claim files and overnight batch eligibility checking (OBEC) files. You have the options to enter the data or to read the data from an Excel sheet.

File Operations

The options under this menu item include "Upload", "Update", "Download", "List", "Get Type List", "Info", "Submit" and "Delete".

View Files

The options under this menu item include viewing claims files, OBEC requests, OBEC responses, batch edit reports, error reports and remittance advices.

Our system connects to the the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care database and returns the results. Transactions are performed through secured and encrypted online sessions. (A secured session is identified when the URL address begins with https:// and a lock symbol appears in the address bar.)
